Vivox has returned!
Vivox Voice Has Returned!
Hello everyone! 👋
We have some good news to share with the H4OS community!
🎙️ **Vivox Voice is back and working again!**
With Vivox Voice now available, **we will continue using Vivox as our primary voice service across our grids for the time being.**
However, this does **not** mean we are stopping development or deployment preparations for our WebRTC voice system.
### 🔧 What Happens to WebRTC?
We have already made significant progress with our WebRTC voice implementation, and we intend to keep moving forward.
✅ We will continue testing and improving WebRTC.
✅ We will continue preparing our infrastructure to support WebRTC across our grids.
✅ We will keep WebRTC available as an alternative solution so that **if Vivox experiences another outage or becomes unavailable, we are prepared.**
Our goal is to make sure our communities have a reliable voice solution regardless of what happens in the future.
### 🛡️ Server Upgrades Are Still Moving Forward
Even though Vivox has returned, **our planned infrastructure upgrades will continue.**
Due to the recently reported PHP security vulnerabilities, we still need to upgrade our webservers and the backend infrastructure supporting our grids.
These updates are important for the security, stability, and long-term reliability of H4OS.
**For now, your existing Vivox Voice service will remain unchanged while we carry out these upgrades.**
### 💙 Moving Forward
We're taking this opportunity to improve our entire platform, not just the voice system.
By continuing to develop WebRTC alongside Vivox, we can build a more resilient infrastructure and be better prepared for future service disruptions.
