Firestorm and Teleporting
This last week I know some others were having bad tp problems. Today I probably had about 50 tp fails before we figured it out. Something caused my firestorm to become corrupt but I have no idea what. You may have problems one day, and not the next. You may be able to tp to one region and not another. If is !@# Firestorm! What caused Firestorm to change: windows update, change in settings, new software, antivirus, and many many other things could possibly affect Firestorm. You can use the Firestorm version you want, but I know many people have had issues with the more recent issues. Firestorm has ignored many serious problems and put all their efforts into PBR.
Let's talk about the two step process I did with help from Josh to get this working.
- Clean uninstall - you can see instructions on firestorm page here: https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/
you have got to make sure you delete the firestorm folders in the hidden appdata folder. There is a firestorm folder in Local and roaming. if you do not do this, problems will continue.. Then you will uninstall firestorm completely
2. Install a stable version of Firestorm. I downloaded this https://downloads.firestormviewer.org/release/windows/Phoenix-FirestormOS-Releasex64-6-6-14-69596_Setup.exe
this is 6.6.14 it is much older version, but it is the last stable version in the opinion of some tech people. I would love to be on the latest version of firestorm, but they have had so many issues
